Dr. Razib Iqbal, assistant professor of computer science, has had three papers accepted to academic journals and two conference publications accepted as well.
“To me, publication is a vehicle for open exchange of ideas among researchers,” said Iqbal. “It helps me to expose my findings and results to the rest of the community and opens up avenues to explore the opportunities for collaboration with other researchers.”
Journal Publications
- “Redundancy Allocation Based on Weighted Mismatch-Rate Slope for Multiple Description Video Coding”
- “A Dynamic Approach to Estimate Receiving Bandwidth for WebRTC”
- “Impact of Advertisements on Webpage Design and User Engagement – A Review from HCI Perspective”
Conference Publications
- “A Selective Intra-Coding Approach for Multiple Description Video Coding”
- “Measuring Actual Visitor Engagement in News Websites”
“Strong support from the college dean and department head by means of allocating spaces, equipment purchases and course release motivated me to focus on various research challenges,” Iqbal. “Such a support system has also opened up the opportunities to involve undergraduate students in my research projects and renew or extend research collaboration with my colleagues and other researchers.”
