Dr. Razib Iqbal is headed to Spain with two missions in mind at the 14th International Joint Conference on e-Business and Telecommunications (ICETE). This conference will be held July 24-26 in Madrid.
This year Iqbal is not only presenting “Should we place the license plate tracking system in the Cloud,” he is also a session chair for another session, “Image and video processions, design, compression and segmentation.”
Image and video processions, design, compression and segmentation
Since 2013, he has been involved with International Conference on Signal Processing and Multimedia Applications (SIGMAP), an affiliate of the ICETE, and on the technical program committee. He was paired with this topic because of his interest in multimedia systems design, audio-visual processing and content adaptation. He will be responsible for encouraging and participating in discussion, introducing the session and the presenter, and keep the session moving to stay on schedule.
Should we place the license plate tracking system in the Cloud
As a presenter, he will discuss his research that extracts and tracks vehicle license plates in real time using surveillance cameras and crowd sourced video streams. He describes the two implementation schemes, linear and parallel, and discusses and evaluates the system. Iqbal will also mention how this was researched, in the new MuSyC lab on campus.
Enjoy Spain Dr. Iqbal!
