It’s never too early to learn the fundamentals of chemistry.
Dr. Nikolay Gerasimchuk, professor of chemistry, wants to make sure the basics are down before high school — in a fun way, with demonstrations and awe.
Gerasimchuk spent two days with Pleasant View students. He said enjoys serving the community and doing public outreach.
“I took it with pride and good effort because I want middle school students of grades 6-8 to see colorful demonstrations and get some very basic chemistry concepts right,” Gerasimchuk said.
It sounds like they’re well on their way to becoming the next generation of chemists.
