Hannah Whaley, a wildlife biology major, was recently featured on STEM Spots for a Women in Science edition.  

Whaley talks to Becky Baker, senior instructor of astronomy, about restoration ecology. She also talks about her goats. 

“A lot of times humans really mess up the ecosystem by rechanneling a stream or any sort of agriculture,” Whaley said. “There are also a lot of invasive species. (These ecosystems) are definitely going to need some help.” 

That’s where Whaley comes in. She wants to protect the ecosystems from further damage. 

Whaley was also a finalist for Student Employee of the Year at Missouri State.
