Samantha Bray, a Missouri State alumna, spoke on campus Feb. 22.
Bray is the managing director for the Center for Responsible Tourism (CREST) in Washington, D.C.
Her talk focused on responsible tourism.
Bray focused on places that have too much tourism. It affects the community dynamic as well as its culture.
“It is important for tourists to understand their responsibility to the destination,” said Linnea Iantria, Bray’s former adviser at Missouri State.
Students were able to learn more about geotourism. They also got to hear about several careers their degrees could offer them.
