Associated Electric Cooperative Inc. (AECI) has been a long-time supporter of the cooperative engineering program.
The company’s latest support comes through a grant to the mechanical engineering program established between Missouri State and Missouri S&T in 2019.
About the grant
AECI has granted $20,000 to the program.
The grant will allow for gifts to continue for three years.
About the cooperative engineering program
The program permits engineering students to take classes taught by faculty from both universities at the Missouri State campus.
Through the program, engineering students can earn a bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical or civil engineering.
“AECI’s latest gift supporting the launch of our new mechanical engineering program expands that legacy of giving back,” Dr. Doug Carroll, director of the cooperative engineering program, said.
