Alumnus explores critical mineral resources in Missouri

The seminar will occur at 2:30 p.m. April 23 in Temple Hall 002.

The department of geography, geology and planning is excited to announce that alumnus Joe Gillman will serve as a guest speaker at the department’s seminar 2:30 p.m. April 23.  

Gillman serves as Missouri’s 19th state geologist and director of the Missouri Geological Survey. The division serves as part of the Missouri Department of Natural Resources. 

His seminar will take place in Temple Hall Room 002.  

About his contributions 

Gillman formerly served on the department’s advisory board.  

He has also hired and mentored many GGP alumni at Missouri Geological Survey. 

Gillman will offer a presentation titled “Critical Mineral Resources and Missouri.”
