Congratulations, Dr. Day Ligon

He has been selected as the 2022 Outstanding Thesis Advisor.

As graduate education continues to grow at Missouri State University, the importance of strong advising has grown, too.  

Dr. Day Ligon, associate professor in the department of biology at Missouri State University, has been selected as the 2022 Outstanding Thesis Advisor.  

He was selected based on his high level of interest in and expectations for his students.   

Throughout his time advising, he has also shown continued dedication to both students’ thesis productivity and thesis quality.  

The award will be presented at the Einhellig Interdisciplinary Forum May 7.
