There are so many events in April – Public Affairs Conference, FFA Contests, Graduate College Interdisciplinary Forum, Pummill Relays, Missouri Academy of Science Annual Meeting, and scholarship banquets for chemistry, computer science, math and premedical students. And then the Ozarks New Energy Conference will be held on April 30 through May 1 on the Missouri State University campus.
This year’s regional science fair was held last week. The numbers of participants continue to drop. I hear that the time commitment required of teachers for the process has impacted the number of participants. The teachers enthusiastically support science fair projects but they can only do so much. Is there a way that we and our students could help? Let me know.
