Patti Blanton (mathematics department) is developing the new MTH 121 course for next semester and one of the topics that will be pertinent to the cultural competence and ethical leadership is the access that certain subgroups of our population have had to education and, specifically, to education in the STEM fields. Obviously, gender bias will be a primary investigation. Patti would also like to put out a request in for any CNAS faculty who would like to share experiences related to bias of any type in the area of STEM education.
