It was such a joy to recognize the December CNAS graduates on Friday!!! Thank you for all of your work with students!
Enjoy the break and I’ll see you back on campus January 5 when the university re-opens for 2015.
I would like to meet with all faculty in 2015 to learn more about the opportunities and challenges that you see in front of us in 2015 and over the next 5-10 years. I’ll provide coffee, tea and either donuts or cookies. Gale Lininger will be contacting you about scheduling in January. Each group will include approximately 10 faculty. For those who have more to share – I am always available to meet with faculty and staff in CNAS!

It is time for me to submit names for news articles again – especially students. Please send me the names of students (both undergraduate and graduate) and let me know why they are special (research, leadership, or service). Today’s Springfield Newsleader article about a biology major is a great feature and highlights the many capabilities of our students and graduates!!!
If someone contacts you about an interview for Mind’s Eye – it means that you have been nominated by your department head or me. Please say yes! It is a great way to share your accomplishments to the public.
