CNAS Student Expo was last Thursday, February 18. The event was a great success! All CNAS Student Organizations grew at this event! Click Student News tab above for more information on this event.
It is STEM Day at the Capitol on Thursday, March 3.
Associate Dean Erich Steinle and I will be taking three students to show state legislators that MSU is #1 in STEM!
Joining us – Ali Bajwa (MTH and CSC); Dan Jones (PAMS); and Shannon Dulz (PAMS).
Statewide Diversity Conference is March 16-18. Early registration ends tomorrow Wednesday, February, 24.
I would encourage each department to send one person to attend the sessions for this conference!

CNAS HIRING UPDATE – 2016
o GGP – Matt McKay, PhD West Virginia University (2015) will be joining us in August, 2016.
o CSC – Tony Clark, PhD Michigan State University (2016) will be joining us in August, 2016.
o BIO – Debra Finn, PhD Colorado State University (2006) will be joining us in January of 2017.
o We have several more interviews in the next three weeks but we should have all hiring for fall 2016 done soon!
RECRUITMENT – GEP 101 INSTRUCTORS
Missouri State is recruiting GEP 101 instructors for Fall 2016. The university is expecting another increase of first-year students, so consider applying.
In addition, college-specific sections have been helpful in increasing retention rates. The deadline for first consideration is March 4. The application is available online.
