· Because academic advisors have ongoing, individual relationships with advisees, they sometimes have students disclose to them that they have experienced (or been accused of) sexual violence, harassment, assault, or stalking. Most academic advisors know that they are now mandated reporters, but they don’t always know the policies and procedures for both complainants and respondents, not do they always know how to navigate the difficult conversations that can follow. Come to this session to learn more about the Title IX office at Missouri State University, your responsibilities under Title IX, and how to support a student who is involved in a
· Title IX investigation.
· Advising for Career Readiness*
· Presented by the Career Center
· Are your advisees career-ready? Explore definitions and concrete examples of the 8 research-based career readiness competencies developed by the National Association of
· Colleges and Employers (NACE).
· Thursday, May 3, 12:30 to 1:30 p.m.
· Plaster Student Union 315
