For CNAS 3 Minute Thesis Competition:
Submit your graduate student names to galelininger@missouristate.edu by Monday, October 8, after confirming that they can attend the CNAS internal competition from 4:00-5:30 PM on Monday, October 15. Gale will contact the students to schedule the competition times. Each department may submit up to five names. All faculty are invited to the competition in Glass Hall 237. Two PowerPoint slides – Each student will provide, ahead of time, one PowerPoint slide (name, graduate program and presentation title), plus one slide to accompany their talk (no animation). Email PowerPoint slides to galelininger@missouristate.edu by 11:00 AM on Monday, October 15. Slides will be loaded on the computer in the presentation room in preparation for the afternoon session. Upon completion of all presentations, the judges will determine who will participate in the MSU competition on Friday, October 26, 6:30 PM in Glass Hall 101. https://graduate.missouristate.edu/currentstudents/265901.htm

SAFETY NEWS
An AED cabinet with an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) and a Bleeding Control kit has been installed in Temple Hall in the first floor campus phone alcove (right of the women’s restroom and left of the dean’s office). The other CNAS buildings have or will have a cabinet installed as well. Please familiarize yourself with the location of the AED cabinet in your building. You may also consider forwarding this email to all appropriate persons including, but not limited to, instructors, teaching assistants, student workers, etc. Check out some of the Safety Services also available on campus.
