Thank you to everyone that helped in the Clean Green Springfield event last month! Below is a message that the City of Springfield sent to us.
The City of Springfield and all partner agencies involved in the Clean Green Springfield initiative would like to extend a big THANK YOU for your participation and service hours in the effort to clean up and green up Springfield.
Here are a few final program stats that YOU helped make happen:
- Over 1,350 individuals registered for Clean Green activities, contributing more than 1,800 total hours of service to the community.
- You collected more than 1,031 bags of litter from Springfield roadways, trails and streams, keeping a total of 19 tons of litter from impacting our waterways and environment.
- You also helped residents dispose of more than 163 tons of trash and bulky items through Neighborhood Cleanups
- 1,601 households responsibly disposed of bulky items and trash through Clean Green opportunities and with the help of Clean Green volunteers.
THANK YOU for making our city a cleaner and greener place!
