August 14 is Showcase on Teaching & Learning.  Showcase on Teaching & Learning – Faculty Center for Teaching and Learning – Missouri State

August 15 is the all faculty luncheon.  11:30 AM – 1 PM

August 18 – New Student Convocation

CNAS All-College Meeting is Monday, August 19 at 3:00 PM in Meyer Library room 101.  There will be cookies!  President Williams and Provost Jasinski will be joining us.

Citizen Scholar Award Nominations are due September 6.

CNAS NEWS –

Cheek Hall Renovation – Design work is being done this fall.  Construction will begin immediately after commencement in May of 2025.

9/16/24 – 9/20/24: Exterior scaffold at main south entrance – entrance will be closed.

ADDITION PLANS – PHASE I

8/12/24 thru 8/16/24

  • Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing work in addition – Levels 3, 4 & 5.
  • Gypsum board installation & Finish Level 1 & 2.
  • New restroom tile installation continues – Level 2, 3, & 4.
  • Curtain wall continues. Exterior glazing installation continues.
  • Penthouse & screen wall panel installation continues.  Roof installation continues.
  • Lab Casework Delivery & Installation – Level 0.

8/19/24 thru 8/23/24

  • Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing work in addition – Levels 3, 4 & 5.
  • Gypsum board installation & Finish Level 1, 2 & 3.
  • New restroom tile installation continues – Level 1 & 4. (Restrooms on Second & Third Floors and Women’s Restroom on Fourth Floor available for building use.)
  • Curtain wall continues. Exterior glazing installation continues.
  • Penthouse & screen wall panel installation continues.  Roof installation continues.
  • Lab Casework Installation – Level 0.
  • Mobilize & commence elevator installation.

8/26/24 thru 8/30/24

  • Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing work in addition – Levels 3, 4 & 5.
  • Gypsum board installation & Finish Level 2 & 3.
  • New restroom tile installation continues – Level 4. (Restrooms on First Floor available for building use.)
  • Curtain wall continues. Exterior glazing installation continues.
  • Penthouse & screen wall panel installation continues.  Roof installation continues.
  • Roof installation at Auditorium commences (Dumpster and heavy equipment on Briggs Street)
  • Lab Casework Installation – Level 0.
  • Elevator installation continues.
  • Tower Crane Removal Commences (Trucks/Flatbeds on JQH Parkway 8/27/24)

NOTE: Due to the phasing of the construction, only cold water will be available until October.

Phase Two Three Week Lookahead (Week 9)

8/12/24 thru 8/16/24

  • Demolition: glass piping at ceilings on third floor. (Affected Room: Breakroom 433 – Work will be complete 8/12/24)
  • General Demolition in rooms and hallways in Phase 2A areas on second & third floors.
  • Demolition: glass piping at ceilings on second floor. Ductwork removal.

8/19/24 thru 8/23/24

  • General Demolition in rooms and hallways in Phase 2A areas on second & third floors.
  • Demolition: glass piping at ceilings on second floor complete. Ductwork removal.

8/26/24 thru 8/30/24

  • General Demolition in rooms and hallways in Phase 2A areas on second & third floors.
  • Demolition: Ductwork removal.
