GetEducated.com, a consumer group that publishes rankings of America’s best online colleges and universities, has ranked the MSU online Master of Science in Computer Information Systems program among the Top 20 Affordable Online Universities for Computer Science Masters. “Our MS CIS program’s strength has always been the students themselves. Their work experience and close bonds within their cohorts is what sets our program apart. We are fortunate to offer such a high-quality program that is available online at a competitive rate,” states Dr. Jerry Chin, Head of the Computer Information Systems Department.
Get Educated’s “Best Buy” rankings reveal the most affordable online computer science and information technology master’s degrees for cost-conscious students. This ranking was calculated by analyzing tuition and distance learning fees at 77 regionally accredited graduate schools in the U.S., which offer a total of 115 online master’s in computer science. The survey includes a wide range of online computer science degree specialties such as computer forensics, web design, information security, database management and programming.
“Missouri State, a public university, combines high-quality instruction using residential faculty and computer systems professionals with a remarkably low tuition structure to help ease the critical national shortage of I.T. professionals. MSU is a laudable example of a public university where innovation through educational technology is an established part of the institution’s mission to deliver quality higher education that is both affordable and accessible to working I.T. professionals,” states Vicky Phillips, founder of Get Educated.
