College of Business Career Fair details

Mark your calendars for the Fall 2024 Career Fairs

It’s hard to believe classes begin in just under a week! Please read this blog carefully as it contains important information about attending the Fall 2024 Career Fair(s).

College of Business Career Fair

September 10, 2024

10 am – 2 pm

Springfield Expo Center

Construction and Design Career Fair

September 11, 2024

10 am – 2 pm

Springfield Expo Center

Prepare for the Fair Workshop

All students who plan to attend either career fair must complete the required Prepare for the Fair Workshop. All workshops for the Fall of 2024 will be completed in Brightspace. The deadline for completing the workshop is September 9 at 11:59 pm.

All COB students have been automatically loaded into the 2024 Prepare for the Fair Workshop course. Follow these instructions to complete the required Prepare for the Fair Workshop.

  1. Log into Brightspace
  2. Locate the Prepare for the fair workshop 2024 course on your home screen. Open the course.
  3. Click on “Assessments” in the navigation bar
  4. Click on “Assignments”
  5. Click on “Prepare for the fair workshop video” and watch the 10 minute video it its entirety. 
    1. The required quiz will not be available until the video has been watched from beginning to end and marked as complete.
  6. Click on “Assessments” in the navigation bar
  7. Click on “Quizzes”
  8. Complete the 10-question workshop quiz
  9. You will receive an email from COB@MissouriState.edu once you have completed the required steps. This email will need to be shown at check in at the College or Business and/or Construction and Design Career Fair.

COB Suits4Students Assistance Program

COB is able to provide professional attire for a limited number of participants with demonstrated financial need.  Limited funding is available each year and participation is on a first-come, first-served basis. The application is open August 12 – September 4.

Student Eligibility

The student must:

  1. be a declared COB major
  2. have a FASFA on file, with demonstrated financial need, in the Financial Aid Office or if an international student, the Director of International Services recommendation of need.

iii. not have received a suit from the Suits4Students Assistance Program in the past

  1. request assistance via the COB Suits4Students Assistance Program.

All students who apply and approved for the COB Suits4Students Assistance Program will receive an email from Mary Grace Phillips, Special Event Coordinator with further instructions.
