College Meeting – August 17, 2018
Thanks to all who were able to attend the College Meeting on Friday, August 17th. Special thanks to President Smart and Provost Einhellig for joining us. Both provided University updates and fielded questions. Dean Hough’s address focused on “People, Places, and Things,” emphasizing his belief that “people are our most valuable resource.” Department heads and GLS director Janice Duncan shared signature programs and projects from their units and introduced new faculty. Dean Hough announced his term as dean expires on August 1, 2019; however, he has agreed to continue in the dean’s role until a successful CAEP review has been communicated circa spring 2020 and the University has completed a search for his successor as soon as possible thereafter. We will keep you informed as this process moves forward over the coming months
