Guest: Dr. Denise Cunningham, Dept. Chair – CEFS
Becky Crowder, Chair, called the meeting to order.
Dr. Denise Cunningham attended the meeting to oversee the election of the new COE College Council Chair for next year. After a discussion, Pam Correll was nominated and approved for the position.
The notes regarding the March 5, 2019 meeting were approved.
Action Items
New Interdisciplinary Program Proposal – Childhood Ed & Family Studies, Sociology & Anthropology, Criminology & Criminal Justice
Title: Family and Juvenile Support Services – Approved
Change Course Proposal – Childhood Education & Family Studies
ELE425: Methods of Teaching Communication Arts in Elementary Schools
Discussion: The revised current online catalog description did not show the change to 3 (3-0) (hours) as proposed. The College Council members approved the proposal pending the change that needed to be made.

GLS Greenwood faculty are checking on the need and qualifications for a Greenwood faculty member to be on the council.

A schedule of the meetings for next year was handed out. Meetings will be at 3:00 – 4:00 p.m., in the COE conference room, if available.
