Old Business
Regarding the COE College Council Rules and Regulations, Pam emailed the Faculty Senate Chair concerning the procedure for the election of a student representative for college council. Michael Hudson, Parliamentarian for Faculty Senate, responded to her. She was informed we can make changes as long as they are in the parameters of the Constitution and Bylaws of the Faculty. Since our document basically follows the Faculty Senate document she was informed that we could not directly change the information, but we could file paperwork to request a change to their document. This was discussed by the members and it was decided to revise our document in the fall.
Pam asked Sharon to email department heads regarding their election for college council members prior to our April meeting and to send them the information on the college council student representative procedures. They will be asked to send her two nominees each so an election for the new student rep could be held at the April meeting.
The meeting was adjourned at 3:40 pm
