Chair Ching-Wen Chang welcomed everyone and called the meeting to order.  The minutes from November 3, 2020, were approved.

New Business

Members selected the following three nominees from the college for the University Hearing Committee.  Ching-Wen will forward the names to the Faculty Senate Office.  The Faculty Senate will conduct the election in its regular February Meeting.

• Hassan Raza, Asst. Professor, Childhood Education and Family Studies
• Reesha Adamson, Interim Dept. Head, Counseling, Leadership, and Special Education
• Kayla Lewis, Asst. Professor, Reading, Foundations, and Technology

 

Ching -Wen will remind department heads and Greenwood director of the upcoming Faculty Senate committee nominations that are needed.  Nominations/elections will be held at the February 2, 2021 College Council meeting if the information is received on time.

 

Faculty-Student Judicial Commission (FSJC)

All College Councils are asked to nominate two names of faculty members to serve on the FSJC.  College Council Chair will forward the names of two nominees to the Faculty Senate Office no later than February 24, 2021.

 

Council on General Education and Intercollegiate Programs

Elections for the CGEIP will be held.  COE Departments will be asked to forward their nominations for election by College Council.  College Council Chair will forward the name of the new member to Faculty Senate Office by Friday, March 12, 2021.  (If names not received, can vote on March 2 meeting.)

 

Committee on Budget & Priorities

Elections for the above committee will be held.  COE Departments will be asked to forward their nominations for election by College Council.  College Council Chair will forward the name of the new member to Faculty Senate Office by Friday, March 12, 2021.  (If names not received, can vote on March 2 meeting.)

 

Committee on Faculty Concerns

Elections for the above committee will be held.  COE Departments will be asked to forward their nominations for election by College Council.  College Council Chair will forward the name of the new member to Faculty Senate Office by Friday, March 12, 2021.  (If names not received, can vote on March 2 meeting.)
