COVID-19 Survey Sent to Public School Teachers Across Missouri
Counseling, Leadership and Special Education faculty members, Drs. Jon Turner, Ximena Uribe-Zarain, Kennedy Ongaga, and Kelly Wynne, conducted a survey asking public teachers across Missouri if they would sign up to get the COVID-19 vaccine. The following article was in the Springfield News-Leader on March 12, 2021.
Listening Like an Anthropologist: Why deep listening matters for trans* allies
Matt Scott, COE Academic Advisor, presented a forum on March 25 focused on experiences of the trans community. The session was for faculty and staff seeking to expand their understanding of students who identify as trans and the unique challenges they face in academic environments.
Faculty Morale Survey
Dr. Ximena Uribe-Zarain, Asst. Professor, CLSE, is chair of the Committee for Faculty Concerns. The Committee recently shared the Faculty Morale Survey Report with the Faculty Senate. Ximena led this effort and Dr. Pam Correll, Asst. Professor, RFT, assisted with the analysis and report writing.
