Missouri State has three food resources available to the campus community! We have the Bear Pantry, Department of Social Services, and the Emergency Scholarship.
Bear Pantry
The Bear Pantry is located in the basement of University Hall and is open to students, staff, and faculty of Missouri State. The Bear Pantry is a donation-based resource on campus and partners with Ozarks Food Harvest to stock the space. They have food, hygiene products, school supplies, and more! All they require is that users fill out a First-Time User Form each academic year. Members are able to stop by anytime during their hours of operation and get the food or other resources they need. If you have any questions regarding the pantry, feel free to reach out via email (BearPantry@missouristate.edu) or feel free to stop by during the hours of operation.
Hours of Operation:
Monday, Tuesday, Thursday: 10am- 4pm
Wednesday: 10am- 2pm and 4pm- 6pm
Department of Social Services
Department of Social Services or DSS is located in the Center of Community Engagement (Plaster Student Union 131). Their services include, but are not limited to: SNAP (Food Stamps), Child Care, Temporary Assistance (TANF), and Medicaid. A case manager is available Friday’s from 9am to 4pm on campus. They take appointments and walk-ins of people employed or enrolled at Missouri State.
