Open Avenues in Victim Advocacy

Volunteer, or even earn school credit with an internship.

October 7, 2019 by Casey Struble

Harmony House is an advocacy group for victims of domestic violence. And, they need help. Opportunities are opening for criminology students to get practical, rewarding experience.

There are opportunities for full internships and practicums. Or, you can volunteer for specific events. For example, The Halloween Hustle 5k Fundraiser is just around the corner.

Volunteer activities include:

  • Working with domestic violence survivors.
  • Building maintenance
  • Administration
  • Donations/boutique management
  • and more!

Interested in volunteering or starting an internship? Attend one of the volunteer orientations. RSVP. The sessions are the second Tuesday of every month. (The next one being October 8th, 6-7 p.m.)

Sessions are held at Harmony House, in the board room.

3404 E Ridgeview, Springfield, MO.
