The world-renowned Argentine musical ensemble, The Tami Tango Trio, will perform at Missouri State University in the closing ceremonies as part of the celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month.
The Tami Tango Trio of Buenos Aires will perform authentic tango music Monday, October 18, at Missouri State University as as dancers demonstrate the sensual dance native to Argentina. Musicians Eduardo Tami, flute; Alejandro Bordas, guitar; and Federico Perez, piano; are joined by a dance duo, Claudia Marciano and Antonio Saganias, in a performance of tangos, milongas, valses, and Candombes. The trio will perform at 7:00 p.m. in Plaster Student Union Theater.
Additionally, the group will be conducting class presentations on Tuesday, October 19 at 8 am in Siceluff Hall 222 and at 12:30 pm in Siceluff 224.
Multicultural Student Services and the Department of Modern and Classical languages sponsor Tami Tango Trio’s visit and program.
