Happy Chinese New Year!!!
Wishing you and your family a happy and prosperous Chinese New Year. The Chinese New Year or the Spring Festival is the most important holiday in China and other Asian countries.
This year the Chinese New Year Day falls on January 23, marking the beginning of the Year of Dragon.
To celebrate the Chinese New Year and enhance the awareness of the Asian culture on campus, the Modern & Classical Language Department, the China Programs Office and Chinese Students and Scholars Association will deliver a series of Chinese cultural activities at Siceluff Library124. These activities will start on Chinese New Year Day, January 23 (Monday) and end on January 27 (Friday), 2012. The events will include Chinese arts and handicrafts exhibitions, lectures on Chinese New Year, Chinese music performances, Chinese Tea Ceremony, Chinese paintings,calligraphy and Taiji demonstrations. All these events involve MSU faculty, staff and students. Symbolic snacks and Chinese tea will also be provided during the events. All the events are open to MSU faculty, staff, students and Springfield community. Please come to join us to celebrate this wonderful Chinese Dragon Year.
