Encouraging the MSU community to express on-ongoing appreciation to veterans on campus for their selfless service to our country
When? April 1-May 31
Student groups, faculty organizations, divisions, colleges, departments and programs plus students, administrators, faculty and staff are all encouraged to participate.
How? Easy.

Think of an idea
Think of a way to show a “veteran act of kindness” to a group of veterans (e.g., Veteran’s Student Organization) or a sole veteran at MSU, (e.g., provide veterans with a complimentary breakfast, lunch, or dinner, complimentary goody bags, small gifts like a plant for veterans’ offices, and a couple of sororities/fraternities with a house on campus could collaborate to set up a free car wash for veterans).
The aforementioned are just a few examples of ways we can make our veterans feel welcomed, appreciated, and a strong sense of belonging on MSU’s campus. Hence, feel free to show your appreciation via the gesture of your choice. To illustrate, April 1, the Student-led Diversity Task Force is going to kick off the initiative with a “Gourmet Popcorn Party” for the Veteran’s Student Organization and small gifts for veteran faculty and staff.
