“Is Anybody Listening?” MSU Film Series with Director Paula Caplan

November 5, 2015 by Diversity and Inclusion

In honor of Veteran’s Day MSU will present the film,Is Anybody Listening? This documentary lets American Veterans speak openly about their war experiences. Instead of ignoring the isolation many veterans experience when they return home, the film focuses on the power of love and connection and the importance of listening wholeheartedly and respectfully to what our veterans have to say.  Trained as a clinical and research psychologist, Paula Caplan is also an award-winning playwright, actor, director and filmmaker. Her most recent book, When Johnny and Jane Come Marching Home: How All of Us Can Help Veterans, has won three national nonfiction awards. Caplan will hold a talkback session following the screening of her film.
