Karen received her BA from Barnard College and her JD from the Washington University School of Law. Karen joined with the ADL in 1995 as a member of its Regional Advisory Board and became Regional Director in 2000. Karen staffs the work of the US Attorney’s Hate Crimes Task Force, a bistate collaboration of representatives of federal and state law enforcement on hate crime and extremism. She has received numerous awards including the Visionary Award from Pro, Jewish Professionals of St. Louis in 2018.
