Teaching Heritage Languages and Learners with Dr. Julio Torres

Julio Torres is an assistant professor of Applied Linguistics in the Department of Spanish and Portuguese at the University of California, Irvine. He also serves as director of the Spanish Language Program and the Bilingual Education Minor. His research focuses on heritage language acquisition, multilingualism, and task-based instruction. He is a co-editor of the upcoming volume “El espanol Como lengua de herencia” with Routledge Press.
