2022: The state of education for Black youth and possibilities of the future
This Black History event will be centered on discussing the psychosocial and educational impacts of the underrepresentation of Black teachers and principals and what that means for present and future students.
The presentation will also include a discussion of SPS and the College of Education’s “Grow Your Own Program” which is a program for future teachers that helps fill this gap and provides financial assistance.
