This program will provide an introduction to conceptual models of disability and explore disability as a complex and valuable aspect of the human experience. The academic discipline of disability studies will also be introduced with examples of how disability is a valued identity group and intersects other academic disciplines. Participants will have a basic understanding of how disability is a social construct and how to apply this new paradigm in their work.
Open to faculty and staff
