Date: July 20
Eid-ul-Adha falls on the tenth day of the final month of the Islamic lunar calendar and is celebrated to commemorate Ibrahim’s devotion to Allah and his readiness to sacrifice his son.
Eid-ul-Adha is the most important of the two Eids (celebration festivals), the second being Eid-ul-Fitr. Eid-ul-Adha follows the completion of the annual Hajj pilgrimage and last between two and four days, depending on the location.
Traditionally, the day is spent celebrating with family and friends, often wearing new or best attire and giving gifts.
