Tuesday, September 9

Explore PSU – Graphic Design

11:30am across from the Plaster Student Union Information Desk
The Graphic Design Area will be featured in front of the Information Desk.  There will be a special surprise for students as well as giveaways.

Information Session for MSU in Florence

5pm in Brick City Building 1 – Room 211
Students and alumni who would like more information regarding studying abroad in Florence, Italy May 19-June 19, 2015 should join one of the informational sessions scheduled in the Fall 2014 semester. Deadline for enrollment is December 8, 2014 and space is limited to 12 students. Details of the program schedules, sites, costs, etc. will be discussed with time for questions and answers.

The exciting Study Away Fair is your first stop in your adventure abroad! Program directors will be available to answer questions about their programs, representing hundreds of study abroad options available to Missouri State students. Fair visitors will win fun prize wheel giveaways including an exciting grand prize giveaway!

Family Weekend Kick-Off

All day all over campus
Families, please join the Missouri State community for Family Weekend 2014! Family Weekend is an ideal opportunity for you to:

7:30pm in the Level 1 Game Center
Free bowling, Ping-Pong, and pool for students on Friday Nights in Level One Game Center.

SAC Presents: First Home Game Tailgate

3pm in Bear Fest Village
Student Activities council will have a tailgate tent set up at Bear Fest Village to kick off the first home football game of the season. They will be handing out food and prizes for students.

Sunday, September 14

Carillon Summer Concert Series

7pm at the Meyer Library Carillon
The Jane A. Meyer Summer Carillon Concert Series concludes tonight with a concert featuring Missouri State University carillonneur, Dr. Jeremy Chessman.  Bring your lawn chairs and blankets and join us on the grounds in front of Meyer Library. Refreshments will be served throughout the concert. Tours of the carillon will be held following the concert.

Nothing Quite Like Football & Family

Bears football returns to Plaster Sports Complex on Sunday, October 1st at  1 PM. Get there early and join students tailgating to celebrate the home opener for the Bears! Bearfest Village opens at 10AM. Let’s get loud at the game and help get the Bears the victory over Northern Iowa!

Don’t forget to bring your family too because it’s Family Weekend at MSU!

What else is going on this week?
You’ve seen the movie Clue, right? Based on the board game? Stars that guy from Home Alone 2 and Doc Brown? Come take part in a murder mystery at SAC After Hours Presents: Murder Mystery Dinner! Immerse yourself in your character as you investigate a mysterious murder. Dinner is served to all who come. Be at the PSU Union Club at  9 PM on Thursday, September 29th to start investigating!

Habitat for Humanity will be building on The Bear Paw all day on Friday. Come by and donate your time to help assemble walls for houses.  After you take some time to help out the community why not support your University by cheering on Women’s Soccer as they take on Illinois State at Plaster Sports Complex at 7 PM.  All that service and support can be exhausting. So why not unwind with Rock N Bowl free with SAC at the Level 1 Game Center in the PSU from 7:30 PM – 10:30 PM?

You look like you could use a vacation. How about an entire semester in France? Maybe Argentina would be more your style. Come to Study Away 101 and get the info you need to start planning your semester abroad from 3 – 4 PM in PSU 309 on Monday, October 3rd.

Bears Baseball hosts the Ontario Blue Jays in an exhibition game on Tuesday, October 4th at Hammons Field.

Explore PSU

Explore PSU continues Wednesday, October 5th with samples and giveaways from the Union Club. The table opens at 11:30 AM and runs until 1:00 PM. Make sure you show up early to get samples, giveaways and sign up to win great prize packages.

Explore PSU is going on today in the PSU Food Court from 11:30 AM until 1:00 PM. Make sure to stop by and try out free samples from Wok N Roll and get one of our free giveaway items. Don’t forget to sign up for a chance to win one of our prize packages either. Prizes include BearWear, Coffee thermos, hoodies, rain coats, messenger bags, Camelback bottles, and much more!

Don’t miss the rest of the Explore PSU events where we’ll be giving away free samples and giveaways from all of the PSU vendors.
