WYM: Zombies & Donald Glover Invade Campus

Last week was a busy one for the MSU campus as it hosted a week long zombie invasion.

Humans vs. Zombie – As part of Zombie week SAC put on a campus wide game of Humans vs. Zombies. A take on tag with  Zombies. How does that not sound awesome? For more on the game check out HumansVsZombies.org

Shaun of the Dead – Zombie week continued as SAC Films presented the cult classic Shaun of the Dead on Wednesday and Sunday night. This weeks film is Mulan, which can be seen at 9PM on Wednesday and Sunday in the PSU Theater.

Blairstock – If you didn’t make it out to the North Mall last Thursday, April 7 then you missed out on some great games and music! The Blair-Shannon Hall Council hosted Blairstock to support Relay of Life with everything from a wing eating contest to popcorn, music, and games.


Relay for Life Planning Committee

2011 Relay for Life – On Friday night students and others from around campus participated in Relay for Life. The top teams of the event were Alpha Delta Pi ($3,220), AWESOME ($2,415) and Bear Blitz ($2,160). Check out the MSU Relay for Life page for more info.

SAC Comedy Presents Donald Glover – On Friday, Donald Glover better known as Troy from Community or as one-third of the internet sketch group Derrick Comedy performed his stand up at the PSU theater. Set to start a nationwide tour April 16, (iamdonald.com for more info)Donald covered everything from his twitter campaign to be cast as the new Spider-Man to his early childhood trips to Home Depot. 40 minutes before the show was set to start the line to get in wrapped around the PSU and students turned out to make a standing room only crowd.

Preview: Zombies Invade MSU!

On Monday, April 4th at 12:00 AM the zombie horde will hit MSU’s campus and won’t stop until all humans are dead (or 11:59 April 10th).

Starting on Monday, April 4th and running until Sunday, SAC will be hosting Zombie Week with the main event being a game of Humans vs Zombies. The zombie madness continues on Wednesday, April 6th where SAC Films will be showing Shaun of the Dead at 9PM in the PSU theater. (Also playing Sunday at 9PM) (Information)

On Thursday, April 7th Blairstock will be rocking the North Mall all day with music, games, popcorn, sno-cones, a wing eating contest, and more! All proceeds go directly to Relay for Life so come and have some fun for a good cause! (Information)

The week winds down with comedian Donald Glover (Community, Mystery Team) coming to MSU Friday, April 8th fresh off hosting the MTV Woodie Awards. If you haven’t seen Donald as Troy on Community check out a short clip on Hulu or check out some clips from his Comedy Central Presents show. (Information)
