This Weekend Off Campus

This weekend marks the start of a new month. It’s almost December, everyone. Which means Christmas and the end of the semester is right around the river bend. Don’t get too excited. There are some fun holiday-themed events going on around town this weekend.

Need to get some Christmas shopping started? Why not participate in Downtown for the Holidays on Friday night. You can enjoy a nice evening of shopping at unique shops and boutiques downtown. Find more information HERE.

Also, while you enjoying your shopping, make sure to drag a loved one around to enjoy a free carriage ride around Park Central Square. How fun!

There’s not a lot going on this week with sports.

Thursday, November 29, 2012, Womens Basketball will be playing Oral Roberts in JQH at 7:05PM.

On Saturday, December 1st, Womens and Mens Basketball will be starting the new month with some exciting games against Northern Kentucky and Oral Roberts. Womens starts at 1:05PM in JQH and Mens starts at 4:35PM in JQH.

Well, the Bears are wrapping up the football season with a close game against North Dakota on Senior Night, and they are preparing for a final game in Iowa next weekend.

There are a couple home sporting events this week, so if you can, make time to show some school spirit and cheer on your Bears.

Womens Basketball has recently kicked off their season with a win against Truman. Their next game is Thursday, November 8, 2012, at 7:05 PM against Southern Baptist in JQH.

Mens Basketball has also had a successful start to the season. The team will be taking on Philander Smith on Friday, November 9, 2012 at 7:05 in JQH.

Also on Friday, Womens Cross Country will be participating in the NCAA Midwest Regional at 12:00 PM at the MSU Cross Country Course. Womens Volleyball will be traveling to Witchita, Kansas to bring us home another victory.

Guess what. Your Bears Football team dominated Western Illinois during the homecoming game on Saturday. This makes for three wins in a row. Great job, guys.

Tuesday, September 30th, 2012 – Mens Basketball against Missouri Western at 7:05 PM.

Friday, November 2nd, 2012 – Mens Soccer against Drake at 7:00 PM

Saturday, November 2rd, 2012 – Football against North Dakota State at 1:00PM & Mens Basketball aganst McKendree at 7:05 PM.

There is a lot of fun sport stuff going on around campus this week. Make sure to check some out and cheer on your Bears!

Congratulations to the football Bears for bringing us our second win of the season last Saturday!

There are tons of home sporting events to see this week and don’t forget, the homecoming game is this Saturday. Make sure you’re there.

Today, October 25, 2012, Womens Soccer will be competing against Indiana State at 7:00 PM.

Friday, October 26, 2012, Swimming and Diving will be dueling against Drury University at 5:00 PM. Womens Volleyball will be competing against Bradley at 7:00 PM.

Saturday, October 27, 2012, HOMECOMING! Football will be taking on Western Illinois at 1:00 PM at Plaster Sports Complex. Don’t miss out on all of the homecoming festivities!
