WYM: Renaissance in the PSU

April 25, 2011 by

Last week turned out to be a fairly slow week at the Union with Spring Holiday sending many students home for the long weekend. Of course a slow week by Union standards still provides with plenty of great events.

Renaissance Fair – If you came by the PSU on Tuesday you may have noticed many lords and ladies dressed in their finest Renaissance era attire. The English society held a Renaissance Fair in the PSU with everything from Ye Olde Booke Shoppe to Mistress Katherine’s Homemade Sweets. Of course what Renaissance Fair is complete without turkey legs? They had those too.

Lunch Time Concert – Even with the short week SAC still managed to plan a great event for students in the PSU. On Tuesday SAC had a lunch time concert in the PSU Food Court from 12 – 1 PM.

Bears Baseball – Hopefully you took last weeks Previews advice and checked out the Bears baseball on Friday. If you did you got to see the Bears thrash Indiana State 14-2 behind 7 RBI’s from Brock Chaffin. Check out the recap here.

Spring Holiday – Ok, so you probably didn’t technically miss Spring Holiday since you had the days off. Hopefully you caught up on your rest because finals are only two weeks away!
