On Friday, October 7th, 2011, the English Department at Missouri State University held its First Friday Artwalk Creative Writing Showcase at the Park Central Branch Library located at 128 Park Central Square in Springfield, Missouri.

This first-time event featured faculty, alumni, and student writers in the areas of fiction and poetry.  W.D. Blackmon, Jane Hoogestraat, Jen Murvin Edwards, Daniel Newell, Laura Dimmit, Anthony Bradley, Abby Hill, and Liz Breazeale read their works of poetry and fiction.
