Online Archive of Confederate Letters

For many years, Dr. Michael Ellis has diligently transcribed and digitized Confederate letters from the 1860s, and in the next year, his work will be made available online. Dr. Ellis is working with retired USC linguistics professor, Michael Montgomery, to create an online archive of the transcribed letters. Read more about their project in Dawn Hinshaw’s article: Confederate letters: ‘we had apirty lively chrismas’ – Local / Metro – TheState.com.
