“Nannie Helen Burroughs and the Fight for Racial Justice”

As part of the University’s African American Heritage Month Program, a new faculty member in the Department of History, Dr. Angela Hornsby-Gutting, will be giving a talk entitled “Nannie Helen Burroughs and the Fight for Racial Justice.”  Burroughs (1879-1961) was a prominent educator, an important civil rights and women’s rights activist, and a noted figure in the National Baptist Convention. 

Dr. Hornsby-Gutting will speak at 7:00 PM, on Wed., February 15, in Glass 102. For more information, please contact Matt Calihman at matthewcalihman@missouristate.edu.
