Dr. Linda T. Moser is a professor and Assistant Department Head of the MSU English Department.

Students now have the option of pursuing a Bachelor of Science in English. Similar to the Bachelor of Arts, the BS in English is 36 hours. Students may choose either the Creative Writing or Literature track option and are required to have a minor.

Dr. Linda T. Moser, professor in the English Department, thinks the option is a good fit for students who want more flexibility with their coursework:

“The English Department developed a BS option to allow students the flexibility to take additional courses more directly related to their major. The BA option remains a choice for students desiring to study a broader range of subjects that are associated with a liberal arts education. We encourage students to meet with English Department faculty to discuss their particular strengths and goals when deciding between the options.”

Students interested in the Bachelor of Science in English should contact their advisor or check out the catalog requirements.
