Rachel (Smith) Harris is a 2010 graduate of the Professional and Technical Writing (PTW) program at Missouri State University. She received her Bachelors of Science and went on to earn her law degree. Now, Rachel practices pharmaceutical law with Schlichter Bogard & Denton in St. Louis, Missouri.

Rachel’s work as a Professional Writing major helped her in ways she never imagined during law school. She says of her law studies:

“It’s insane how many pages you have to read and digest and respond to in class. You churn out papers left and right.”

Rachel’s background in writing was obvious and recognized by a professor in her law studies. Studying Professional Writing as an undergraduate was a solid foundation for Rachel’s law studies and practice in the field, and it contributed to her future success.
