Dr. Danielle Lillge, Assistant Professor in the English Department and Director of English Education, has received the 2018 Curtis P. Lawrence Excellence in Advising Award in the faculty adviser category. She’ll be recognized later this month at the Master Adviser Reception.
The English Department is very proud of Dr. Lillge’s advising work with students. English Department Head W.D. Blackmon had this to say about Dr. Lillge’s award:
[The award] is very well deserved! Our English Education students have benefited profoundly from her great advising and coordination of advisement for our B.S.Ed. students.
This year, Dr. Lillge developed a hybrid advising model for English Education students, which blends traditional one-on-one advising with group advising. This model allows teachers and students to collaborate and work together to meet their goals at the various stages of their academic careers. The hybrid advising model has been highly beneficial for advisers and students.
The English Department congratulates Dr. Lillge on her award.
