Students recount a tale on the MSU Haunted Tour

Haunted Tour 2018 offers chills and stories

Tours take place Oct. 19-20 from 6-9 p.m.

October 4, 2018 by Jacqueline Crawford

Halloween is just around the corner, which means it’s time for the Missouri State Campus Haunted Tour! The tour runs Friday and Saturday night, Oct. 19 – 20, during Homecoming weekend.

Come wind your way through campus as your guide relates legends and personal experiences told about haunted spaces on campus and meet some ghosts along the way. All narratives told have been collected from Missouri State faculty, students and staff by English and Folklore Studies students over the last 15 years.

The Haunted Tour is family-friendly. Guides are coached to watch language if younger folks are on the tour. It’s encouraged that very small children use strollers due to the amount of walking on the tour.

Costumes are welcome!

Tours will begin approximately every twenty minutes from 6 through 9 pm and will last 40-45 minutes. Ticket reservations are encouraged. They can be made ahead of time: $4 per individual or $10 for a group of three. Payments are accepted in cash the evening of the tour.

Reserve your space on a tour

  • Reservations are made by email: RGholson@MissouriState.edu
  • Reservations are guaranteed with a confirmation email. Please print and bring your confirmation to the tour.
  • Customers must pick up tickets 15 minutes before the tour begins.
  • If the customer does not show up, then the reservation is void and the space goes to those waiting on a first-come/first-served basis.
