Poets Visiting MSU for National Poetry Month

April 8, 2019 by Lauren Troy

The next event in our reading series happens this Thursday, April 11, at 6 p.m. at the Student Exhibition Center (833 E Walnut St—enter through the back door!). Poets Clayton Adam Clark and Erin Hoover are giving a reading, helping us celebrate National Poetry Month.

Clayton’s first book, A Finitude of Skin, won the 2017 Moon City Poetry Award and was released by Moon City Press this past fall. Erin’s first collection, Barnburner, won Elixir Press’s Antivenom Award and was also released last fall; she is a former student of Marcus from his days in Philly.

Each of the writers’ books will be for sale at the SEC, but are available online at all major distributors. The event is sponsored by the College of Arts & Letters, the Department of English, the Creative Writing Program, and Moon City Press. The event is free and open to the public.
