The editors of Moon City Review, the annual journal published by the Missouri State English Department, are accepting entries for the 2020 MSU Literary competitions in Fiction, Creative Nonfiction, and Poetry.
The competitions are open to all graduate and undergraduate students currently enrolled in at least one course at Missouri State University’s main Springfield Campus during the Fall 2020 semester, seated, online, or blended. The prize for each competition includes publication in the 2021 edition of Moon City Review and a $200 honorarium. Students may enter up to one entry in each category.
To enter you must have a Submittable account. Instructions for setting up an account, as well as the contests’ full guidelines and entry portals, can be found at https://mooncitypress.submittable.com/submit
Be sure to choose the correct category for your submission, as there are three separate portals for the Fiction, Creative Nonfiction, and Poetry Competitions.
The deadline for this year’s competition is November 1, 2020.
Finalist will be judged by writers Karen Craigo, Pablo Piñero Stillman, and Brenna Womer.
