The Missouri State department of English has appointed a new head: Dr. Linda Trihn Moser. Moser, who is currently acting as interim department head/associate dean, will officially assume the role of permanent department head on July 1, 2021.

Moser earned her Ph.D. at the University of California, Davis in 2004 and joined the faculty at Missouri State University in 1997. She was promoted to full professor of English in 2012 and has served in a variety of administrative roles including director of graduate studies, assistant department head, interim department head, dean’s fellow, and associate dean-academics and student success.

“I am grateful for the opportunity to serve as department head of English and to work with colleagues who value the study of writing, literature, and language as a way of understanding the world we live in and as a tool for imagining the future,” says Moser.
