This session will give a brief overview of the fundamentals of mythology and the basic characteristics most deities within various mythologies share. Students will look at character traits and how well-rounded characters have both positive and negative attributes. The students will then spend time creating their own god or goddess once they have learned the basics of how many gods and goddesses were created and behaved within their respective mythologies.

Students will need: at least two sheets of lined paper, a sheet of blank paper, pencil, colored pencils or markers (much of this assignment can be modified for online learning).
