This session will explore how to navigate and generate concise yet suspenseful science fiction stories. We will build stories that draw from all kinds of imaginations. This session will tap into student’s existing interests and blend with writing to create quick and developed pieces. First, we will go through a mini-lesson to examine how to structure and build a crafty science fiction piece. Then, we will get the perspective from previous students of Ms. Kramer’s who reflect on the writing and creative process. Finally, students will get the chance to write their very own sci-fi pieces, inspired from one of the short stories we previewed, an interest of their own, or something completely novel and new!
